Chemokine receptors and selected variables. The expression of CCR5 (A) and CX3CR1 (B) are affected by modifiable factors and increased in patients with the highest values of body mass index, the concentration of oxidized LDL-ox, and the number of circulating CD8+ T cells and the lowest value for HDL-cholesterol. The cutoff values for the first and second tertiles were respectively: BMI, 20.1 and 23.3; HDL-cholesterol, 0.84 and 1.11 mmol/L; ox-LDL, 51.1 and 80.2 ng/mL, and CD8, 592 and 920 cells/mm3.
